Football Australia can confirm four changes to the CommBank Young Socceroos squad for the AFC U20 Asian Cup China 2027™️ Qualification Phase in Vientiane, Laos later this month.
Following further discussions with their respective clubs regarding player availability for the qualification window, Lawrence Wong (Melbourne City FC), Medin Memeti (Melbourne City FC), Amlani Tatu (Adelaide United FC) will no longer join the squad.
Alexander Garbowski (BK Häcken) will also be unavailable due to injury.
Emile Katrib (Western Sydney Wanderers FC), Oliver Dragicevic (Melbourne Victory FC), Michael Ghossaini (Melbourne Victory FC) and Feyzo Kasumovic (Adelaide United) have subsequently been called into Trevor Morgan’s 23-player squad.
The CommBank Young Socceroos will face Laos, Malaysia and Indonesia as they look to secure qualification for the AFC U20 Asian Cup China 2027™️, which will determine Asia’s representatives at the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2027™️.
