CommBank Young Socceroos’ path to the AFC U20 Asian Cup China 2027™ revealed

The CommBank Young Socceroos will face Indonesia, Malaysia and Laos in the Qualification Phase for the AFC U20 Asian Cup China 2027™, following the official draw in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday afternoon.

Trevor Morgan’s side are the defending Asian U20 Champions after winning the 2025 edition of the tournament, also held in China.

In the Qualification Phase, 32 teams are divided into eight groups of four, with the group winners and the seven best second-placed teams advancing to the 43rd edition of the AFC U20 Asian Cup™.

The Qualification Phase will be staged between 25 August and 6 September 2026. The CommBank Young Socceroos will play their matches in Laos.
