CommBank Emerging Championships 2026 Teams of the Tournament

The Teams of the Tournament for the CommBank Emerging Socceroos Championships and CommBank Emerging Matildas Championships have been revealed, celebrating the standout players from two weeks of high-quality football.

Held at the Home of the Matildas in Melbourne and Valentine Sports Park in Sydney, the tournaments are a key step in Football Australia’s player development pathway and provide a glimpse of the next generation of Subway Socceroos and CommBank Matildas.

Selected by National Team staff who carefully watched every match across both competitions, the Teams of the Tournament recognise those who impressed most with their skill, consistency, and impact in both the Under 15 and Under 16 Age Groups.

CommBank Emerging Socceroos Championships – U15 Team of the Tournament

The Under 15 selections are headlined by Lucas Krenek & Nathan Kirby (Football QLD Maroon), who scored seven goals each and claimed the Golden Boot for the tournament. The Queensland duo are joined up front by Jacob Sousa (Football NSW Sky), who was named Championship Final MVP after helping the hosts to the title. The CommBank Player of the Tournament, Kallum Chalker (Football QLD Maroon), anchors the midfield alongside Football NSW Sky duo Max Smith and Nathaniel Arrarte. The defensive line is made up of William Scodellaro (Football NSW Sky), Nash Regenet (Football QLD Maroon), Ayman Abdulrahman (Football NSW Sky) and Hamid Hakimi (Football Victoria Blue). Fresh off being named Goalkeeper of the Tournament, Codey Huston (Football QLD Maroon) features in between the sticks. 

CommBank Emerging Socceroos Championships – U16 Team of the Tournament

The Under 16 group highlights some of the tournament’s most dangerous attacking talent, with Zachary Harrison (Football QLD Maroon) claiming the Golden Boot after a remarkable eight goals, also being named CommBank Player of the Tournament. Riad Rarhidi (Football SA) and Jack Middleby (Northern NSW Football) round out the front three. Dimitri Staveris (Football NSW Navy) was named the Championship Final MVP and features in the midfield alongside Caiden Burns (Northern NSW Football) and Kalan Alagich (Football SA). The defensive line features members from four different member federations, with Kaiden Walshe (Northern NSW Football), Charley Kassis (Football NSW Navy), Jake Pilovski (Football Victoria Blue) and Denver Minster (Football QLD Maroon) making up the backline. Named Goalkeeper of the Tournament, Luca Nesci (Football Victoria Blue) features in between the sticks. 

CommBank Emerging Matildas Championships – U15 Team of the Tournament

The Under 15 team of the tournament is led by Selena Mifsud (Football NSW Sky), who claimed the Golden Boot with ten goals and was named Final MVP. She is joined among the attacking selections by teammate Gracie Bishop (Football NSW Sky) and Lilly Sterjovski (Football NSW Navy). CommBank Player of the Tournament, Evie Murphy (Football NSW Sky) is named in the midfield, alongside Matilda Fleming (Northern NSW Football) and Katie Saito (Football QLD Maroon). Football Victoria Blue duo Marina Trevisiol and Alexia Duff are named in the defensive line alongside Catherine Yu (Football NSW Sky)and Georgia Harris (Football NSW Navy). Charlotte Lacey (Football QLD Maroon) was named Goalkeeper of the Tournament after producing several match-defining saves.

CommBank Emerging Matildas Championships – U16 Team of the Tournament

Among the Under 16s, Sophie Aungle (Football NSW Sky) claimed the Golden Boot with seven goals, while Milla Butler (Football West) was crucial in helping her side claim the title, and Ruby King (Football SA) rounds out the front three. Ruby Murray (Northern NSW Football) and Ella Lange (Football West) anchor the midfield. Four different Member Federations feature in the backline, with CommBank Player of the Tournament Tessa Young (Football NSW Sky), named alongside Frida Joehnk Escobar (Capital Football), Isabella Matulic (Football Victoria Blue), Alyssia Gordon (Football QLD Maroon) and Markie Robinson (Football NSW Sky) make up the backline. Zoe Reader (Football QLD Maroon) claimed Goalkeeper of the Tournament for a second consecutive year after an outstanding campaign.
