Australian coach Joe Montemurro claimed his first piece of silverware at Juventus Women on Sunday morning (AEDT) as his side claimed the Supercoppa Italiana Femminile in dramatic fashion.
Trailing AC Milan at half time, Juventus responded early in the second half with an equaliser thanks to an own goal from the opposition.

Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Women’s Football Day celebrations were held on Wednesday 26th April at Abbotsford Juniors Football Club (AJFC), a CDSFA-based club.
The event was held at AJFC to reward them for their excellent work in improving participant experience in the Women and Girls space at their club such as delivering specialised programs for female goalkeepers, upskilling training sessions for those new to football and starting their first Over 35’s women’s team.

Football Federation Australia (FFA) today announced that full time referees Jarred Gillett and Ben Williams will this week depart for a two week professional development trip to Japan, refereeing two J-League matches and one international fixture each.

Football Australia today congratulated Westfield Matildas forward Sam Kerr for being recognised by the Australia Day Foundation UK as the 2021 Young Achiever of the Year in the UK.
Kerr, who plays her club football for Chelsea FC in the FA Women’s Super League, was named as the winner of the award during a virtual ceremony held overnight.
Kerr is the 17th winner of the Young Achiever of the Year in the UK and becomes the second footballer to be recognised with the honour after Socceroos great Harry Kewell received the inaugural award in 2005.

Steve arrived in Australia when his family fled Hungary in the 1950s. Like a fellow Hungarian, Les Murray, he joined Budapest St George playing for the reserves and following the first team. He carved out a career in business and later in politics where he became Shadow Minister for Sport in the ACT Parliament. In the 1970s he was one of the group who formed Canberra City to take part the first season of the National Soccer League. He helped persuade Johnny…
