Football Australia tonight acknowledged the international retirement of Nagoya Grampus goalkeeper, Mitch Langerak.

Langerak, who became the 566th player to represent Australia’s senior men’s national football team when he debuted for the Socceroos against France in October 2013, has called time on his international career due to his desire to remain with his young family throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Malinauskas Labor Government is taking decisive action to ensure the Matildas’ history-making FIFA Women’s World Cup campaign will leave a lasting legacy in South Australia, through a $28 million commitment to dedicated female sporting facilities.

The Government will deliver an $18 million grant program over the next three years for dedicated female sporting facilities and improvements that grow female participation.

Sydney Football Stadium seat design revealed

The seating design for the new world-class stadium at Moore Park has been revealed, as the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 selected venue continues to take shape.

It was created by award-winning Indigenous artist Tony Albert, and has the theme of ‘Two Worlds Colliding’.

Each end of the stadium is separated and distinguished by two different designs symbolising land and water.

The land is signified by the geometric diamond designs taken from nature, while the bubble of concentric circles represent water.
