Date set for Olympic Football Tournament draws

The Westfield Matildas and Olyroos will discover their opponents for the upcoming Olympic Football Tournaments on 21 April at 7pm AEST (10am CET).  

The countdown to the rescheduled Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games is on, with Australia set to participate in the men's and women's tournaments for the first time since 2004. 

In less than a month’s time, the 16 men’s and 12 women’s teams will learn the identity of their opponents.

The two draws will be streamed live on the FIFA YouTube channel to allow all participants to follow proceedings from their home countries.…

When The Sunday Telegraph contacted me about a leaked list of 198 people banned from attending matches in the Hyundai A-League, my reaction was to say "what part of banning 198 people supports the allegation that FFA is in denial?

The existence of the list says it all. We have repeatedly and publicly said that we will identify and ban those who engage in anti-social behaviour at A-League matches. The list is the proof.

Football participation grows to record levels

There are now more than 1.8 million Australians participating in football, an increase of 13 per cent on the previous year, a Football Federation Australia annual football census has found.
