Australia wrapped up their PacificAus Sport International Futsal Series with an exciting win on Wednesday night, defeating the Solomon Islands 5-3 at The Centre in Dural.

The result marked a second win on the bounce for the Futsalroos, following Monday’s 3-2 victory and a 1-1 stalemate played out between the two nations on Saturday.

In an action-packed first half, Australia burst out of the blocks to a three-goal lead.

Football Australia is saddened to hear of the passing of Socceroo cap #258, Peter Stone. 

Stone was born in Brisbane on September 30, 1954, before his family moved to Newcastle when he was nine years old. 

During the early 1960's , Peter played his junior football for Kotara South and Adamstown Rosebuds, before playing at senior level for Adamastown Rosebuds and a host of Sydney-based clubs.

The midfielder would go on to play at the highest level of Australian football, and enjoyed a stint abroad representing Tottenham Hotspur in 1980.

Aussie futsal referee Chris Colley (centre) has been appointed to officiate at this year's FIFA Futsal World Cup.
FIFA have announced that leading Australian futsal referee Chris Colley has been selected for the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2016 being held in Colombia in September.

Colley is one of 38 referees from around the world who will control matches at the 8th edition of futsal’s showpiece event.

Kate Jacewicz has created history today as the first female referee appointed to the Hyundai A-League Referees Panel.

Football Federation Australia (FFA) today released the names of the Match Officials that will control matches during the upcoming Hyundai A-League and Westfield W-League seasons.
