Football Australia is saddened to have learned of the passing of former Socceroos Head Coach, Dr Jozef Vengloš at the age of 84.
Vengloš – who held a doctorate in Physical Education – managed Australia’s senior men’s national football team in three ‘A’ internationals throughout 1967, after beginning his coaching career in Sydney with Prague in the mid-1960s.
After coaching in and with Australia, Vengloš went on to manage an array of clubs and national teams in Asia and Europe throughout a long and well-travelled career in the game.
Football Australia confirms that Stefan Kamasz has stepped down from the Board of Football Australia, effective immediately due to personal reasons.
Stefan Kamasz, inducted into the Football Australia Hall of Fame in 2014, has been an outstanding contributor to Australian football for several decades.
He was appointed to the Football Australia Board on 25 November 2020 and was a Member of the Football Australia Referees Committee and the Football Development Committee during his tenure.

The second workshop on experiments with video assistant referees (VARs) in football will be hosted by Major League Soccer (MLS) from 19 to 21 July in New Jersey, USA.
It follows on from the kick-off workshop in the Netherlands in May, when interested competition organisers found out more about the requirements they need to meet in order to take part in the two-year trial overseen by The IFAB.
