The FA Membership Hub is a new platform designed to make communications between FA and our valued Matildas FC and Socceroos FC members easier to manage from both sides! 

Step 1: You will receive a welcome email from Football Australia, with a link and temporary password. If you do not receive an email, contact membership@footballaustralia.com.au so we can ensure we have the correct details for you.

Step 2: After clicking the link, you are taken to the sign in page. Enter your email address (it must match the email address listed on the email) and your temporary password.

You will need to agree to the Terms and Conditions of the Membership Hub.

Step 4: Once you have accepted, you can see your Dashboard.

  • News crafted to your national team 
  • Delegate Status 

Q What is a Delegate? 

A You can nominate anyone to be your delegate to manage your RSVP’s. You can notify Football Australia of your delegate’s details, or you can invite a delegate from the “Manage Delegates” link in the dashboard. Note: it is not permitted to impersonate a player, please refer to the Terms & Conditions.

FAQs:

Q Why do I need to opt in to this membership when I have previously received benefits automatically? 

The Football Australia Membership will allow Football Australia to engage with capped senior national team Matildas and Socceroos from a centralised location, finally bringing our men’s and women’s contacts together in one place. It also helps both FA and the player keep track of invites and updates and provides relevant information to all consistently and at the same time.

Q What happens if I choose not to opt in—will I still receive tickets or invitations as before? 

All future complimentary tickets and invitations will only come through the Matildas FC and Socceroos FC Football Australia Membership.

Q Is this membership mandatory for former or current Matildas and Socceroos? 

No, this is an opt-in membership, and eligible players can sign up now or any time in the future.

Q Who is eligible to join Matildas FC or Socceroos FC? 

Any ‘A’ Capped international as long as a player has not subsequently changed their national team affiliation. Any player can nominate a third party as a delegate to join on their behalf to manage requests, communication and RSVP for events and activities that they have been invited to.

Q Does earning a single ‘A’ International cap qualify me for membership? 

Yes

Q Can families or next of kin players access this membership or its benefits? 

Yes, next of kin can be added as delegates to look after the eligible player Membership with FA.

Q Can families of deceased players access this membership or its benefits? 

Yes, however some of the benefits will be different and these will be communicated at the Membership launch time.

Q Is there any cost associated with joining or maintaining this membership? 

This is a free membership with FA absorbing all the costs to administer the portal and offer some great offers and benefits from time to time. Unfortunately, not all benefits will be complimentary, some may be offered with a right to purchase discount and others with a right to purchase (face value). 

Q What is the Football Australia portal and how will it be used? 

Socceroos FC and Matildas FC members or their delegates will be required to log in to a portal to enable FA to communicate. All enquiries will be via the portal to allow us to keep a chronological account of your activities, RSVPS and communication with us.

Q How will ticket offers work under this new system compared to previous arrangements? 

Invitations will be sent to members via emails with full details and the response options available on the portal.

Q Will I receive my Football Australia Cap if I am not a Matildas FC or Socceroos FC member? 

Yes and you will receive this at an event as close as possible to when you achieve this milestone regardless of whether you are a member or not.

Q Will I receive a lapel pin if I am not Matildas FC or Socceroos FC member? 

Eligible players will be eligible to receive a Football Australia lapel pin after they have retired and only if they are a Matildas FC or Socceroos FC Member. 

Q Will I still be eligible for complimentary tickets and discounted right-to-purchase opportunities? 

Yes, all Matildas FC and Socceroos FC members will be able to apply for tickets through the FA portal only.

Q How do major tournament ticket opportunities work, and are they guaranteed? 

Access to purchase tickets to major tournaments will be restricted due to the limited allocation that both FIFA and AFC provide Participating Member Associations. This number varies from tournament to tournament. Access criteria for Matildas FC and Socceroos FC members to purchase these tickets will vary by tournament with a ballot to apply when there are more requests than the number of tickets available.  

Q What is Football Australia Plus (FA+), and how do I access it through my membership? 

FA+ will give additional benefits, including discounts to all international home games and other Football Australia matches like the Australia Cup and Australia Championships, activities and events.

Q How will Football Australia communicate with members, and can I update my preferences? 

Communications will be through the portal and you can update your preferences at any time. Turning off all notifications may prevent invite emails. If you are not sure you will be able to lodge an enquire for assistance via the portal.

Q What information do I need to provide when signing up, and how will my data be used? 

Only your email address is needed for signing up.

Q Will additional benefits be added in the future, and how can members provide feedback or suggestions? 

Additional benefits and services will be introduced over time, informed by feedback and developed in partnership with Matildas FC and Socceroos FC members and members of FA’s Congress including the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA). Phase 1 of the portal is nearing completion with improvements and expanded access planned for Phase 2, to be rolled out in May 2026 in readiness for the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Q How will FA protect my personal data? 

The membership portal will be stored on a major cloud provider and will be protected with the same level of security as FA’s player registration database of over 2 million players. Until we complete final security testing we will be excluding certain contact details and you will not be able to update these fields.
