Due to the extreme heat forecast for Western Sydney on Tuesday, 3 October, Football Australia has made changes to the match schedule for both Day 2 and Day 3 for the National Youth Championships 2023 Boys’ Age Groups.With the temperature expected to peak at 36 degrees at Valentine Sports Park, Glenwood, and with some matches contested on synthetic, the decision was made to switch around the current Day 2 and Day 3 match schedule, so the Day 3 (Wednesday) match schedule will now be contested on Day 2 (Tuesday) and vice versa.Football Australia has also changed the kick-off times for Tuesday, 3…

Football Federation Australia (FFA) today announced it has imposed sanctions on Nathaniel Atkinson, Riley McGree, Lachlan Wales and Brandon Wilson for breaches of clauses 2.1 and 6.1 of the FFA National Code of Conduct (the Code of Conduct). 

The sanction imposed on Atkinson, Wales and Wilson is as follows:


Ineligibility to participate in national team duty until 10 August 2020; and
Participation in education courses and counselling as directed by FFA.

Queensland registered player sanctioned by FFA for betting

Football Federation Australia (FFA) has sanctioned a Queensland registered player for betting on football matches, in breach of the FFA National Code of Conduct.

The breaches included betting on matches involving his own club, as well as other Football Brisbane Premier League, National Premier League, FFA Cup and A-League matches.

FFA has issued a sanction of a $500 fine payable now and an immediate two (2) match suspension. The sanction also includes a further suspended two (2) match suspension, to be triggered immediately in the event of another breach of the Code of Conduct.
