CommBank Matildas Head Coach Joe Montemurro has called up three uncapped players for the 26-player squad named for the October FIFA International window, with Australia set to face Germany and Haiti in Europe.
Tori Tumeth (Vancouver Rise), Courtney Newbon (Melbourne Victory) and Hana Lowry (Vålerenga IF) will join the senior squad for the first time. Tumeth has continued to impress since moving to the Northern Super League in April, while Newbon has earned recognition for her performances during Melbourne Victory’s 2025–26 season.
Lowry was previously selected for the CommBank Matildas squad in 2024 but suffered an ACL injury days before and was unable to join the team. The 22-year-old midfielder, who made the move to Norway earlier this year, will now have another chance to make her senior international debut.
Charli Grant (Malmö FF), Alexia Apostolakis (Bristol City) and Daniela Galic (Vittsjö GIK) also return to the national team set-up, with the trio rewarded for their recent form and performances with their respective clubs.
Alanna Kennedy and Charlize Rule are unavailable for selection for the October window due to injury, while Kyra Cooney-Cross will not join the team as she continues her return to football.
The CommBank Matildas will face two contrasting tests in Europe during the October international window, opening against European powerhouse Germany in Karlsruhe on 9 October before taking on Haiti in Chambly, France, on 13 October.
The fixtures will provide Australia with a chance to measure itself against two very different styles of opposition, adding further variety to the team’s preparations for next year’s FIFA Women's World Cup.
