The focus of Principle II is to develop a new narrative for football which signifies a fresh start for the game in Australia, successfully ties together all new initiatives and distinguishes it from other sporting codes in the country.

Australian football is in an opportune moment to advance a new and bold narrative for the future of the game.

The challenge for Australian football, is to take a deliberate and considered approach to resetting and controlling its narrative, both domestically and abroad, to one which truly reflects its aspirations, the strength and diversity of its community and the popularity of the game in Australia.
