The Coalition of Major Professional and Participation Sports (COMPPS) today announced that David Gallop AM, the CEO of Football Federation Australia, will become the new Chairperson of COMPPS, effective immediately, with James Sutherland stepping down as the current Chairperson following his resignation as CEO of Cricket Australia.

James Sutherland has held the position of Chairperson since COMPPS was formed in 2009, and has been CEO of Cricket Australia since 2001. He will officially vacate his role as CEO of Cricket Australia at their Annual General Meeting later this month.

New rescheduled dates confirmed for Tokyo Olympics

The Australia U-23's and Westfield Matildas have learned when they will compete at the Tokyo Olympic games after the International Olympic Committee (IOC), The Government Of Japan and the event’s stakeholders agreed the new dates on Monday.

The earlier announcement by the IOC last week outlined the importance of rescheduling the event due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The rescheduled games will commence from the 23rd July and will close on the 8th August 2021.
