Australia Cup 2023 Round of 32 kicks off this week

After six months of pulsating football across all four corners of the country, the Australia Cup 2023 Final Rounds will get underway this week. 

The Round of 32 will be contested from Friday, August 4 to Monday, August 14 and will feature matches in six state and territories: New South Wales, Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria, and Western Australia.

Three teams will make their Australia Cup Final Rounds debut with Inglewood United (Football West), Goulburn Valley Suns (Football VIC) and Inter Lions (Football NSW) looking to create history.

Refugee Week 2020: Football a familiar language for Musie Elongo

Musimbwa Elongo found his way home to Australia from the war-torn Democratic Republic of the Congo in 2005, despite the struggles of adjusting to a new country, football became a beacon of hope.

Musie Elongo was only a small child when war broke out in the Congo in the early 1990s. From there his family escaped to a refugee camp in Tanzania, where they lived for the next nine to ten years.

Despite the time they spent in the refugee camp Elongo considers his family one of the lucky ones.

Football Federation Australia (FFA) and Fox Sports Australia (Fox Sports) tonight confirmed they had reached agreement on a new broadcast deal that will see football broadcast on Fox Sports through to the end of July 2021.

Canberra to get new 'Home of Football' to host Caltex Socceroos and Westfield Matildas matches

The Caltex Socceroos and Westfield Matildas will play matches in Canberra over the next 18 months after the announcement of a $20 million investment by the ACT Government in Tuesday’s 2019-20 budget.
