The CommBank Young Matildas played the second game of their 2024 AFC U-20 Women's Asian Cup Round 1 Qualifiers campaign, recording a 7-0 over the Kyrgyz Republic and progressing to Round 2 of qualifying.

The country’s brightest footballing talent have converged on Townsville, with Football Australia conducting an Under 16 National Talent Identification Camp for boys.
