National Premier Leagues return for 2026

The National Premier Leagues (NPL) begins this week as the 2026 Men’s competition kicks off with a place in the Australian Championship competition up for grabs.

In line with the 2025/26 Domestic Match Calendar (DMC), the opening round will be on Friday, 6 February which will see Football NSW’s Manly United FC take on St George City at Cromer Park Field 1 at 7:30pm and Sydney FC meet SD Raiders FC at Rockdale Llinden Sports Centre, also at 7:30pm, in the first NPL matches of the new season.

The following week, Friday, 13 February, Football Victoria will commence its NPL Men’s season as Heidelberg United FC face Green Gully SC at Olympic Village Pitch 1, at 7:30pm, and Hume City FC take on Altona Magic SC at Nasiol Stadium Pitch 1, also at 7:30pm.

On Thursday, 19 February, NNSW Football season gets underway, when Kahibah FC face Lambton Jaffas FC at Harold Knight Sports Complex-Fred Wright Oval at 8:00pm with Friday, 20 February and Friday, 27 February marking the commencement of the NPL Men’s Competitions for Football QLD and Football SA respectively.

Football Tasmania will kick off its season with four matches on Saturday, 7 March. Ulverstone SC host Devonport City Strikers at Ulverstone Westside Park (2:30pm), Launceston United SC welcome South Hobart FC to Birch Avenue Kemlec Park (2:30pm), Kingborough Lions United FC face Riverside Olympic FC at Lightwood Park (2:30pm), and Launceston City FC take on Glenorchy Knights FC at Prospect Park (4:45pm).

Football West kicks off on Friday, 27 February, when Bayswater City host Balcatta Etna and
Perth Azzurri take on Olympic Kingsway. Meanwhile, Capital Football begins on Friday, 27 March, with fixtures yet to be confirmed.

The NPL Women’s Competition will be led by Football QLD this week, Friday, 6 February, as Brisbane City take on the Gold Coast Knights at Spencer Park Field 1 (8:30pm).

Football Victoria will follow suit the week after, on Friday, 13 February, with a triple-header and NNSW Football will start their NPL Women’s season on Friday, 20 February, with reigning premiers and champions Charlestown Azzurri FC facing New Lambton FC at Lisle Carr Oval (8:00pm).

Football SA get underway on Friday, 6 March with four matches, featuring a clash between Modbury Vista and the Football SA State Squad at ServiceFM Stadium Pitch 1 (6:45pm), WT Birkalla against Campbelltown City at Jack Smith Park Artificial (8:30pm), Adelaide University taking on Flinders United WFC at ServiceFM Stadium Pitch 1 (8:45pm) and West Adelaide v Adelaide Comets at Kilburn Sportsplex (9:00pm).

Football NSW will follow with an opening round double header of NPL Women's on Saturday, 7 March, with Northern Tigers FC playing Gladesville Ravens at North Turramurra Recreation Area Field 1 (2:30pm)

and NWS Spirit FC versing Sydney Olympic FC at Christie Park Field 1 (3:00pm).

Football West competition will start on Sunday, 22 March, while Capital Football begins on Sunday, 29 March, with fixtures yet to be confirmed.
